The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed concerning the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level developed for intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to here allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
